CCHC is a Blue Star Museum. Active military and reserve personnel (with valid ID) and family receive free admission.

Chester County Public Library card holders may sign-out up to 2 individual day passes a month for free admission to CCHC.
Passes are available at the West Chester Public Library and the Chester County Library and District Center (Exton, PA).

Parking

There are several parking options available…

  • The closest public parking for the CCHC is the Chestnut Street Garage at 14 East Chestnut Street, across the street from CCHC.
  • Metered parking is available on-street and in several parking lots. Meters take and quarters. Metered parking is enforced Monday through Friday and beginning at 5pm on Saturday. Parking is free on Sunday.
  • Parking in the Justice Center Parking Garage is free after 5pm, Friday through Sunday.

Safety and Protocols

We are focused on your well-being which means keeping the safety of our staff, community, and visitors at the heart of everything we do by following the latest guidelines from the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and state and local governments.

By purchasing an admission ticket to the CCHC, you are agreeing to the following:

1. To follow all the CCHC instructions while on the premises as described.

2. To not enter the premises if experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 such as cough, shortness of breath, or fever, have a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19, or have come in contact in the last 10 days with a person who has been confirmed or suspected of having COVID-19.

What to expect during your visit to the CCHC:

Wearing a mask or face covering is optional by every person entering the building.

A hand-sanitizing station will be in the front lobby upon entry, as well as various sanitizing stations throughout the museum.

Clear plexi-glass guards at all registers and check-in desks will remain in place.

Accessibility

The front entrance is accessible by a ramp midway between Evans Alley and Chestnut Street.  There is an elevator to the second-floor exhibit galleries, restrooms, and lecture space, as well as an elevator to Visible Storage and the Changing Exhibit gallery. The ground floor of CCHC features an accessible research library, museum shop and restrooms.
