Located in the Chester County Government Services Center, the Chester County Archives is administered by Chester County History Center in cooperation with the County of Chester. Established in 1982, the Archives is committed to preserving and making available the historic government records of Chester County.
The holdings include estate files, vital records (births, deaths and marriages), deeds, taxes and many other historically significant county records dating back to 1682. The Archives website is also a great place to start your research whether your interest is in genealogy, local history, or property research.
