This walking tour, new for 2024, highlights pivotal moments in the lifetime of Civil Rights icon Bayard Rustin, organizer of the 1963 March on Washington. Follow in Bayard’s footsteps through the center of West Chester and learn about the experiences that helped shape him into the influential peace activist and adviser to Martin Luther King Jr. in the 20th century.
Tour lasts 60-75 minutes and covers approximately 1.00 miles. Tour is entirely outdoors; sidewalks and terrain may be uneven. Event is rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. Service dogs are welcome; pets are not permitted on our public walking tours.
