The Shadow of Humphry Marshall: Delaware Valley Horticulture in the 19th Century (virtual)

Humphry Marshall’s legacy was felt throughout the Delaware Valley and had a strong influence on horticulture in our region. In this talk Tony Aiello will discuss Marshall’s impact on horticulture in Chester County and more widely across the region. Tony will highlight some of the more prominent horticulturists and arboreta and how their legacy continues until today.

About the Speaker: Anthony Aiello is Associate Director, Conservation, Plant Breeding, and Collections at Longwood Gardens, where he participates in tree conservation, plant exploration and evaluation, and collections development.
