Biography:

The Avon Grove Women’s Club was federated in 1938.  It was a part of the Chester County Federation of Women’s Clubs and the Pennsylvania Federation of Women’s Clubs.  They participated in charity work, held an annual rummage sale at the Avondale Fire Hall and were part of the annual Arts and Crafts Day of the Chester County Women’s Federation of Women’s Clubs.  The title of this event was later changed to Home Life Day. (Also referred to as the Fine Arts Day)

Collections Scope:

The collection consists of 3 scrapbooks (1945-1958, 1958-1974 and 1974-1983) and one folder of documents, 1941-1947.
