Letters of John C. Hull to his brother William Hull of Lancaster County. John C. Hull worked at the Octorara Iron Forge and eventually became involved in a shipping and passenger line of stage coaches that ran between the Baltimore/Washington DC area and the southeastern quadrant of Pennsylvania.
Letters deal with the competitive transportation business. Also includes extensive discussion concerning the sale and purchase of horses as well as other related equipment.
There are two folders, one has the original letters and the other has transcriptions of the letters. It is located at the end of the Phillips collection.
