Folder 2:  UPAC, 1990-1995

-Contains documents and news clippings pertaining to events and issues that UPAC participated in during these years. Included, but not limited to, are:  Letter from NAACP indicating disapproval of UPAC picket of the NEA, the West Chester Klu Klux Klan march and protest along with statement from the KKK, news clippings on Black history, list of UPAC officers, notes, letter to Temple University,  the Philadelphia Zoo protest, Denny’s Restaurant employment practices, and political offices.

Folder 3:  Censure of West Chester Area School District, 1982-1990

-Contains documents and news clippings pertaining to the Censure that  UPAC participated in. Included, but not limited to, are: dismissal of Dr. Black as Supervisor of State and Federal Programs, Request to the NAACP to Censure WCASD, news clippings and letters to the editor.

Folder 4:  Censure and Picket of the NEA, 1990-1991

-Contains documents and news clippings pertaining to the Censure that  UPAC participated in. Included, but not limited to, are:  NAACP 1990 meeting program, notes, correspondence, news clippings and photos, Resolutions approved at the 56^th annual meeting of the Pennsylvania NAACP, and original letter to Dr. Leavell stating why UPAC picketed the NEA.

Folder 5:  The Reitmeyer Decision, 1989-1992

-Contains documents and news clippings pertaining to the Reitmeyer Decision that  UPAC participated in. The Reitmeyer Decision involves a middle school teacher who made three copies of black “jokes” and the ensuing results.   Included, but not limited to, are:  letters, photocopies, news clippings and photos, and the Opinion and Memorandum Opinion WCASB vs. West Chester Area Education Association documents.

Folder 6:  Pennsylvania State NAACP Convention, 1987

-Contains documents and news clippings pertaining to the workshop on the Ward System that UPAC gave at the 1987 convention.

Folder 7:  20^th Anniversary, 1986

-Agenda and some photocopies of photos of the anniversary.  see Scrapbook 1 for complete details and photos.

-Agenda, correspondence, receipt and photocopies of photos.

-Various documents and news clippings, originals and photocopies, that are undated or their relationship with other events in the UPAC file unknown.  Includes:  Congratulations from the NAACP, list of Industries and Manufacturer in Coatesville, names and addresses from Southern Chester County, receipt, Dr. Johnson’s receipt and to-do list for a trip in 1989, and a refused document envelope.

Box 10:  UPAC Scrapbooks of 1996 meeting on Goodman vs. Lukens Steel, 1996

-Scrapbook 1:  This is a record of the UPAC sponsored meeting to discuss the Goodman vs. Lukens Steel civil suit and ask the questions:  Why did you sue Lukens and the Steel Unions? and Was it worth it? What was gained?    It was held Saturday April 13, 1996.  The scrapbook contains documents and correspondence pertaining to the suit, correspondence, photos of the lawyers and many of the plaintiffs.

-Scrapbook 2:  This is a continuation of Scrapbook 1 and contains photos and slides which Dr. Johnson used in his presentation.
