Stomping Grounds: Tracing your Chester County Ancestral Lands

January 29 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Virtual Event

Land records can be a genealogist’s super weapon. However, many tend to underutilize them because they aren’t sure how to find them, how to read them (they’re typically chock-full of intimidating legal jargon), and what to do with the information they contain. Learn the basics of using land records to trace your Chester County ancestors, learn if/how their lands were involved in the Revolutionary War, and learn how sometimes we are even able to locate family lands in the present day.

This event will be recorded, and a link to the recording will be emailed to all registrants.

Admission is Pay as You Wish! Register Here for this pay-as-you-wish event. Your donation is greatly appreciated. All proceeds benefit the development of future programming and the preservation of the History Center and its collections. The History Center is home to over 750,000 manuscripts, 100,000 photographs, and 70,000 artifacts. Your donation helps us to preserve and share those resources.
