Researching with Tax Records

July 24 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Virtual Event

Discover the Power of Tax Records in Historical Research! As Benjamin Franklin once noted, taxes are one of life’s certainties. Because of their consistency and detail, tax records can be invaluable resources for property, genealogical, and local history research—offering insights into the people and places of Chester County. However, knowing how to interpret these records is essential to using them effectively.

Join Chester County’s Archivists for a virtual program, “Researching with Tax Records,” on Thursday, July 24 at 12 p.m., and learn how to utilize these records in your own research. This event will be recorded, and a link to the recording will be emailed to all registrants.

Admission is Pay as You Wish! Your donation is greatly appreciated. All proceeds benefit the development of future programming and the preservation of the History Center and its collections. The History Center is home to over 750,000 manuscripts, 100,000 photographs, and 70,000 artifacts. Your donation helps us to preserve and share those resources.  Register Here
