Educator Open House

November 15 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free

Calling all teachers! Visit the Chester County History Center on the afternoon of Saturday, November 15th, to sample all the educational activities, programs, and walking tours we have to offer for K-12 field trips and outreach.  This event is FREE OF CHARGE for you and your immediate family. We do request that you Register Here so that we have enough materials on hand.

During the Open House, you can experience:

  • One-Room Schoolhouse activity (part of our Victorian Childhood field trip)
  • Colonial Clothing activity (part of our Colonial Childhood field trip)
  • Historic Toys and Games activity (part of our Colonial Childhood field trip)
  • Our American Revolution, Lenape Life, and Horace Pippin traveling trunks
  • Sampler versions of our Immigration, Walk Through History, Fierce Women of West Chester, and Underground Railroad walking tours.

You can chat with staff from the Chester County Archives and visit the CCHC research library to discover what treasures both institutions hold.

Light refreshments will be served, and all registered educators will receive a free gift from the History Center! All activities except walking tours run continuously throughout the event; walking tours run at 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, and 3:00.
